Kintex-7 is the mid-range of AMD’s 28 nm 7 series — the family buyers reach for when Artix-7 runs out of transceivers or logic, and Virtex-7 is more than the design needs. The five devices span roughly 66K to 478K logic cells with GTX multi-gigabit transceivers, and they sit inside radar, communications, broadcast, industrial and test equipment that is still in production today.
That installed base is exactly why Kintex-7 keeps appearing on shortage lists: the parts are mature, franchised channels hold thin stock of the industrial grades, and a line-down buyer cannot wait out a factory lead time. We source Kintex-7 continuously — every lot is checked against its label, marking and date code before we quote it, and we send photos of the exact lot before you pay.

What to check before you order a Kintex-7
- Package codes are not interchangeable: FBG676 and FFG900 are different footprints (27 x 27 mm vs 31 x 31 mm) with different I/O counts — confirm the full part number against your BOM, not just the device name.
- Speed grade and temperature grade are in the suffix (-2 is the common industrial workhorse; I = -40°C to +100°C). A cheaper commercial-grade quote is not the same part.
- Ask for the date code and lot photos before payment — Kintex-7 is one of the most remarked families in the spot market.
